About:

Today (8th June) is World Oceans Day which is all about celebrating our seas. Plastic pollution is one of the biggest threats to our oceans and environmental campaign group City to Sea are helping find solutions to this crisis.

Refill is all about connecting people to taps and fountains, wherever they are, so they can refill their water bottle for free and stop plastic pollution from single-use water bottles at source. It’s fun, easy, saves money, saves oceans!

We have a free app which connects you to your nearest free refill, and there are now over 10,000 refill stations across the UK!

Refill just won gold for 'Best Behaviour Change' in the Global Good Awards and we want to spread the world that you don’t need to buy expensive bottled water … you can top up from the tap wherever you are!

Fewer than half of the bottles bought in 2016 were collected for recycling and just 7% of those collected were turned into new bottles. Instead most plastic bottles produced end up in landfill or in the ocean. Here in the UK around 16 million bottles a DAY don’t get recycled.

Think taps! Think stopping the insanity of buying water that costs you and costs the oceans! Be bold, be silly, have fun! x
