One Minute Brief: Get @tobyandnaomi into Wieden + Kennedy @W2Optimism
Get @tobyandnaomi into Wieden + Kennedy @W2Optimism
Today we have the opportunity to help a couple of the OMBLES. So let's all club together to make some noise and make something happen. Can we do it?
Last week we were spproached by Naomi for help to get their creative team into Wieden + Kennedy. We thought it was a great idea and being such a loyal follower we are happy to help. See below for the info they have sent:
Brief:
Wieden & Kennedy are a touch cookie to crack if you’re
a graduate team. We want you to help us cause as much impact as we can to help
us bag a placement. So we want you to create ads with the message: Give Toby & Naomi A Placement. Remember to include @W2Optimism and @wklondon in your tweets.
Obviously we don’t just want you to do the hard work for us
so we’ll be joining in throughout the day and giving the best idea a framed
custom drawing of whatever you wish by Naomi. Here’s her Etsy to show you what
kind of style the art can be. https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/NaomisKickAssArt?ref=pr_shop_more
Here are some useful twitter accounts you could include in your
tweets:
W+K: @WiedenKennedy
Tim Vance: @Miami42
Paul Knott: @luapk
Dave Goss: @itsdavidgoss
Ollie Wolf: @OlliewolF
And here's our info.

One Minute Brief: Create fun ads for the 6 Nations tournament.
One Minute Brief:
The RBS 6 Nations are on the horizon and between brewing extra SA for all the thirsty fans in our pubs and the Stadium we’ve been chuckling over some of the great funny ads we’ve had over the years.
Remember this one from Chris Callow last year?
You’re all a witty bunch so get your thinking caps on and create your own funny ads for this year’s 6 Nations. We’ll award the funniest with a pair of tickets to the final Wales v Scotland match. We’ll also have 5 runner-up prizes of a case of Brains SA Gold to give away.
Tweet your entries to @OneMinuteBriefs and @BrainsBrewery
We’ll post them to our Facebook page/retweet the ones that make us laugh.
Few rules: The spoof ads must be witty and humorous but not offensive (we’ll be the judge of this!). You MUST include your name or nickname somewhere on the advert to be eligible to enter. The competition closes at 1pm on Thursday 13th March and the winner will be announced shortly afterwards.

Threw in this brief to see what type of an audience we all are and we had lots of cheeky entries sent in. Lots of fantastic work on show.
The winners have a great level of humour and show different levels of what people think of account handlers. Really interesting to see people's different reactions to this brief.
Quick note. Can people remember to include their Twitter handle on their entries in the corner so we can quickly credit winners.
Winners today:
@C21chitchat with 'forward thinking' Hilarious but beautifully simple. Excellent ad.
@sharpstuffbits with 'the lesser of two evils' Fantastic thinking.
@jay_pegg with this cleaning signage based ad. Good humour, style and benefit.
@snyggstyle with the 'artbag' Another funny ad that uses a great agency insight.
@matthew__wyatt Nice graphic style and is a nice way of showing what they have to do when dealing with volatile creatives!
Thanks to all who got involved!

If you don’t already know about One Minute Briefs there is a bit of info below about us.
One Minute Briefs is a concept brought to you by Nick Entwistle & James Clancy at The Bank of Creativity.
We want to change the way people think about advertising and believe that our One Minute Briefs concept can change the way we work which benefits the creative industry whilst also being great fun as it forces you to rely on your creative instinct.
One Minute Briefs produce some fantastic/funny ideas via interaction over Twitter throughout the creative industry and we have given numerous talks about OMB’s including one at the art of new business at LBi, London and we also hosted a stand at the 2013 D&AD New Blood event.
We have just won an MPA Award for ‘Next Big Thing’ and a Fresh Award for ‘innovation’ and hosted an OMB workshop/talk at Freshtival and Promax UK.
The beauty of One Minute Briefs is that the ideas that come out of them can be really really shit or really really good. But you’ve only spent one minute on it so it’s all good whatever happens. We often find that the first idea you have is the best.
Hope to see you all there!
If you need to contact us then e-mail us at interest@bankofcreativity.co.uk
Please bring paper ticket or save it to your phone.

The first of a selection of briefs we are collaborating with the Fresh Awards on this year went very well. Some brilliant entries and plenty of great ideas on show.
The judges selected by Fresh have chosen their winner and it is a humourous take on weight loss by @PaulAllGood E-mail us your address to interest@bankofcreativity.co.uk so we can send you your Ad Pad. Advertise #GetJoeAJob
Recently our loyal OMBLE Joe has decided to move on in his career and as a valued member of the OMB community we'd like to rally the troops to #GetJoeAJob!!
Below is a blurb from Joe who can be found at @joe_from_cp Include this Twitter handle in your tweets. Winners to get a copy of Rory Sutherland's Book - The Wiki Man.
Essex born and raised, took myself as a bit of a
technical drawer decided to take a route into Architecture. Having
suffered 3 years I cut my losses and quit during my Year 3
dissertation.... Winner.
In a world of limbo, I
tried Football Refereeing, Bar work and... *cough* Modelling *cough*
before I landed my feet in the world of advertising sales. I found
myself as a bit of a salesman, and moved on to what would be more
familiar to you guys.. 'Creativepool' as one of their Account Managers.
It
is here that I found you guys, One Minute Briefs and become absolutely
besotted. Having spent roughly 6 years without touching the creative
part of my brain, this was just what I needed. Seeing amazing
advertising work from creatives around the country, as well as getting
some great feedback (and some wins myself) on my own work. This is a
huge part and reason as to why I'm taking 'My next step....'.
Now's
the time I go into an agency. Advertising preferably. Do I try my trade
in Account Management? Business Development? Or is there a slim chance
that I have what it takes to be a Creative? Is it even possible...
Help me OMBles, and I will forever be in your debt.

A brief we previously ran in 2012 has shown us just how far OMB has come in a short space of time. The quality of ideas now is superb and the ideas vary. Great day for OMB with lots of ideas coming through.
Therefore, we have a few winners today. All deserved in their own way!
@ideafuelcreativ with 'always handy for something' Taking it onto a much bigger idea than just ears. Great work!
@markemoon with 'Best Buds' Simple but eye-catching image.
@dr_draper with a nice copy connection between friends and product benefit.
@MisterDJC with 'Aural Sex' Phenomenal line and diagram. Hilarious too.
@see_low with 'Hearing aid' Very plain ad turns the product into something else and is interesting and campaignable.
@jimbobaggins75 with 'give your ears a treat' Lovely thought and visual.
@matthew__wyatt with a thank you letter from your ears. What a brilliant idea and great copy.
@bshryane with 'wax lyrical' Very campaignable idea. Want to see it.
@thinkbig_ideas with 'Double ended pleasure' for it's sheer outrageousness!!!
Loved all of the entries. Thank you.
