One Minute Brief WINNERS:
Advertise Pancake Day with Fresh Awards

Hopefully everyone has recovered from their Pancakes and Nutella hangovers.
We had another successful collaboration with the Fresh Awards to advertise Pancake Day and we will be working together again soon.

@IainThorley was the winner with an ambient idea as a reminder of the day using pancake shaped ads.

Ad Pad on it's way to you Iain and into the draw for the free Fresh Award entries! Great stuff.

One Minute Brief of the Day:
Advertise Karl Ullger's Art Exhibition

Today's brief is a great collaboration with our Gibraltar OMBLE Karl Ullger. He produced a brilliant video that we played at #OMBLive and, in return, it's our chance to give something back to a very talented artist. Please see brief and info below.

The brief:
To create an ad with a catchy title/ caption for the art exhibition by Karl J Ullger. The name of the exhibition is to have some sort of connection with Gibraltar.

The art exhibition is about Gibraltar visually and politically. It will feature artworks done in a very old technique called Pyrography (Wood burning). Some Installation art pieces are also going to feature.

The OMBLE winner will have their title/ caption feature on all posters, banners and invitations for the exhibition as well as have a free invite to the actual night (flights NOT included). The winning OMBLE will also be mentioned in a feature double spread article in April, in a local magazine. The prizes don’t end there!  They will also get the opportunity to select 1 framed sketch from the ‘2012 series’ which will be sent to them as part of their prize.

Art Exhibition details:
April 17th 2014
At The Fine Arts Gallery, Casemates Square, Gibraltar

One Minute Brief WINNERS:
Campaign against phone use whilst driving

Overwhelmed by the brilliant response to today's brief. A serious one to start the week off which we hope will make you all think twice about using your phone whilst driving.

Some of the ideas on show are award winning. The standard is excellent at the moment.

We have lots of great winners today which you can see below in no particular order:

@BOC_ATM with 'you don't need to put dinner on tonight' I changed James' name to Jane to make this ad and we had to put kisses to each other on texts. Totes Awks. My mum demanded that I gave this ad the win as it was her fave.

@Dissential with 'YOLO' A term that is used as a bit of fun but given a serious context. Nice work.

@daniel_sharp_uk with the smashed screen visual. Hard hitting image.

@themadmancs with 'slide to unlock' Nice visual and meaning.

@lpbiesty with a Siri device that shuts your phone off whilst driving. This should happen.

@garethbutters with 'predictive text' Serious imagery using text language. Very impactful.

@tonysimmons with 'you've been tagged in a photo' Another shocking image and clever idea.

@little_scamp85 with a brilliant Instagram selfie timeline concept.

@StewAllan with an amazing hybrid image of an iPhone/gravestone.

Thanks to everyone who got involved and remember...Don't use your phone and drive.

One Minute Brief entries:
Advertise Anything as long as Mia is the Star.

A very emotional response to pay tribute to one of our favourite OMBLES who passed away.
Mia always produced great work and really captured what OMB is about.

We know Dannielle loved all of the ideas and we'd like to thank everyone who got involved. It was sad but also a very positive experience.

The winners of the brief each had a nice idea that worked really well.

@richbayley80 for Paw Dannielle. Beautifully simple.

@SkyNewsMan - in dog we trust. It captures the essence of owning a dog and what it means

@ChrisMillar89 - Paws and Remember - Nice use of the One Minute Silence relating to OMB.

@chrisod1993 - Dans best Friend - Lovely piece of copy.

Thanks on behalf of ourselves and Dannielle.

R.I.P. Mia xxx

One Minute Brief WINNERS:
Bring back MSN Messenger

We were discussing social media and how it went backwards. Facebook is nowhere near as good as MSN was. On MSN there was already a Facebook Chat...you could Skype...you could share music and images...emoticons. Nudge instead of Poke.

But for whatever reason it died and we wanted to bring it back.

The brief was taken on really well by everyone and here are the results.

The overall winner is @Joe_from_CP with this brilliant visual turning the MSN icons on their head to resemble trophies.

Other winners are:

@worldofolly with 'nudging' is more socially acceptable. Nice truth and a fun idea.

@JustJoel_ with a cheeky idea using Melinda Messenger. She would be perfect to front a campaign to bring it back as it is another Messenger we all remember from that era!

Thanks for everyone's entries. Great stuff.

After yet another snub at the Oscars we decided to set a fun brief to advertise Leonardo di Caprio and had some good entries. Lots of piss-taking too which is always good!

Winners as follows...

@TheMadMancs with 'Leo's learnt to let things go' A reflective piece.

@HarryHartwright with a bit of Celine Dion quoting.

Both linked to the Titanic which is where he first became famous and both linked to the Oscars. Nice work.

We were thinking of a brief to set one day at work and then James suddenly got his nuts out so this is the one we set and we had a great response!

Was a fun brief with lots of silly ideas. We love silly. Some more serious ones too. Good variety which you can see in the winners below.

@carthx with 'I can't believe it's nut butter' Great play on words.

@dognbonesjones with a nice product/price ad.

@owenjevans keeps up his fine run of form with a nice Tesco style copy ad 'no shelling or shelling out'

Quality stuff!

Must have been feeling hungry when we set this brief. Had lots of good ideas that really gave a good insight into what we all think of the good old English Breakfast.

Here are the winners as follows. Each of you wins a hash brown and a sausage from Clancy Lad.

@alvo_muses with 'The Recovery Position' Simple but effective.

@lpbiesty with a very unpretentious ad! Does away with any snobby stuff and gets straight to the point.

@ludoyouknow using the plate as a tablet. Brilliant visual.

@TrevorAKP with 'Words everyone understands' Really nice language based idea.

@NealeCP with the very simple happy visual that can't fail to make you smile.

@sarahlong_xx with 'How do you like your eggs in the morning?' Great play on a famous line.

Cheers everybody. I'm off to burn some bangers.

We recently held an event at the fantastic venue Twenty Twenty Two.
The night went amazingly well and we will be creating a full post about it shortly.
As part of the partnership with TTT we ran a brief to advertise them with a brilliant prize to be won: £50 bar tab and free ping pong all night for 4 people *valid any tues or weds in March

We had lots of amazing ideas sent in but one person really stood out to us with a range of brilliant poster ideas that you can see below. Well done to @markemoon who has been on great form lately. Keep it up! E-mail us at interest@bankofcreativity.co.uk so we can sort your prize.

One Minute Brief WINNERS:
Advertise Nutella

On Pancake Day, Nutella is rather popular so we thought it would make a great brief and we got some very interesting results. Opening up images of naked women covered in melted chocolate isn't easy with people walking past!!

An amazing quantity and also quality to the ideas resulted in a number of winners again. You lot are making it increasingly hard to choose winners. It is a good problem to have!! Credit to you all. We appreciate all ideas not just the winners, so whatever idea you have...SUBMIT it. You never know someone might see something in it. It's very important to share ideas however good/bad you think they are as it's the only way to improve.

Here are the winners in no particular order:

@iainthorley with 'choc and roll' Cheeky line that is also a direction for use. Nice and simple.

@richardpeacock with a nice visual use of a famous song line by Rihanna. Good stuff.

@sharpstuffbits with another musical reference using the famous tongue visual.

@owenjevans with 2 entries for his smear campaign. Bit controversial but we like that it pushes you a little bit and at the end of the day that's what you do with it so it's got a great truth.

@misterDJC with another risky ad. 'Nutellargy' Genius line and hilarious insight and line.

@alvo_muses with 'Notella' This could be a great campaign against all imitations.

@worldofolly with the great visual of babies making a mess of their food with one perfectly clean face in the middle. Great thinking. Thanks everyone!

One Minute Brief WINNERS:
Advertise Bum Implants

Needed a Fun Friday brief today. What's more fun than bum implants?!

115 entries all about bot bots. Loving it. Although it was difficult to save and RT pictures of bum cheeks all day with people walking past my desk. Although I'm not complaining!

Some hilarious ads today and some clever thoughts.

Lots of winners today.

Other winners include:

@hairy_hand with a famous bra company parody ad. Great idea.

@matthew__wyatt with a subtle bit of of balloon usage!

Thanks everybody.

One Minute Brief WINNERS:
Campaign to #SaveBBC3

We were overwhelmed by the fantastic response we had for our campaign to try and help #SaveBBC3. When we read that in the news we couldn't believe it and thought it would make a great brief.

It is a channel that we watch due to it's great range of comedy and support of young British talent. Oh, and Family Guy. Obviously.

With over one hundred entries and thousands of favorites and retweets, we feel the OMBLES went a long way to getting our message across with some supeb ideas along the way.

So we have a number of winners which you can see below:

@BOC_ATM with 'The Mighty Boo', 'the sad face BBC logo' and 'three is the tragic number'
Not often we give our Bank of Creativity a win but there were a lot of votes and RT's for these entries.

@dr_draper with his simple style 'no laughing matter' Nice copy.

@LeaWorthington with 'Russell Howard's Bad News' Brilliant idea. Send it him!

@PWCFreelance with 'the pen is mightier than the axe' What a top line and CTA!

@RichBayley80 with 'Comedy of Errors' Lovely line that captures the brief perfectly.

@JackyBarker using a quote from a BBC character. Really topical. Wonder if the actor would like this one? Best tweet him and find out!

@hairy_hand with a hard hitting image and line using the microphone stand. Great work.

And, of course, @markemoon with 'This, my friends, is an Outrage' which used a quote by a character to great effect. As you can see, this was retweeted over 600 times and counting after a retweet from the person who plays the character himself, Noel Fielding.

Amazing stuff. This is why it's important to share work with relevant people. We encourage sharing of work with relevant people.

But REMEMBER...always put your Twitter name on the ad itself. If someone decides to save your image and share it. If your name is on it you will get all the credit you deserve.

Thanks for all of your entries.

One Minute Brief WINNERS:
Advertise Lent

Brilliant response to today's brief to advertise Lent. Lots of superb ideas. Responsive ads, funny ads, serious ads...today we had the lot and the winners below are well worthy.

The quality these days is immense and it gets really tough to choose winners so please do not feel downhearted if you have a great idea and it didn't win. Keep going and the wins will come. Statistically the people who enter more ideas improve dramatically and get more wins as a result.

Below are today's winners:

@carlhalford with a very powerful Paralympics ad for Nike. This should be a real ad.

@daniel_sharp_uk with a McDonalds ad on when they are open. Clever.

@owenjevans with a fantastic copy based ad and description of the OMB process. Love it. On a more serious note he also gets another win for this great ad for BHF.

@richbayley80 with a nice OMB themed ad which we always appreciate!

@matthew__wyatt with a Man United based response ad. Nice idea. Send it!

@stephenhunter with the superb pause/cross visual.

@dognbonesjones with 'Give up Cadbury's for Lindt' Very cheeky brand ad. Get that sent to them!

Some of these ads need to be made for real or sent to the appropriate people. Make sure they see it. You might just be rewarded. Thanks to everybody for entering.
