Jay-Z looked liked he was in a bit of trouble as Beyonce's sister Solange battered him whilst Beyonce stood there. So we set the brief for a response counselling ad for them both.

An unusually low number of entries today. Would be interesting to hear people's reasons for not getting involved with it being such a good chance to get your work seen and shared by one of the best brands in social media.

We just had to set the brief to advertise the Pound Pub after we heard the news that the first one has opened up in Middlesborough. Had a lot of 'Quids Inn' ideas and a lot of you thought it was in Manchester! But the ideas below have won because we think they get compliment the brief well.

James was telling me about a dominatrix programme he watched last night where people paid other humans to eat their shit on toast. Disgustingly interesting.

So of course, this just had to be today's brief!!

And the winners lived up to this great brief. Loads of brilliant ideas around today. Some of which didn't quite make the win.

@alison_norden with this genius line for a poster/voucher! 'Bring this ad and I'll shove it up your ****' Hilarious.

@killedthehype with a brilliant copy campaign 'We'll leave you begging/screaming/gagging for more'.

Not posted the blog in a while but we have just received the e-mail above and we HAD to share it!

This is the type of shit that gets you noticed.

Not too lengthy and not too short (sometimes we get e-mails as short as...'Got any placements?') DELETE.

Make a bit of effort in what you're writing. Be different. Don't just expect people to want to read what you send. Make them enjoy it. It's a piece of work in itself to capture someone's attention. Once you've done that, you can show them your work. Personality is key. 

Creative agencies receive hundreds of e-mails a week from students and people looking for a job. What will make you different. Great work isn't worth anything if no-one looks at it.

Get Noticed in everything you do. Starting with that very first e-mail. Remember first impressions count.

This brief was a great collaboration with our friends at The Lad Bible. Their job vacancy is an ideal opportunity for a creative. We've had a few e-mails already but we definitely thought we'd have a few more by now. This is a fantastic role for someone and we highly recommend you go for it...at whatever level you are. If you don't ask. You don't get.

The quality on show for this brief was immense. So we have a lot of winning ads.

Advertise a FREE magazine for creative students by creative grads.
With Shellsuit Zombie.





Today's brief is a collaboration with the guys at Shellsuit Zombie who we will be working with on future events and workshops starting with D&AD New Blood this year.

See info below and remember to include @shellsuitzombie in your tweets.
Prize will be the 'creepy fan', a copy of the magazine, and a feature on ours and Shellsuit Zombie's website.

ShellsuitZombie have just printed issue 5 of our magazine and we want to post it out to as many creative students as possible (for free of course). The theme is money and features words & illustrations from Goldie, Chris (Simpsons artist), Hollie Newton as well as a whole heap of fresh grad talent.

So we're sending the mag to students in batches of 100 for free (via the hyperlink above) in return for a promise they will help us by distributing them to as many creative students at uni as possible.

ShellsuitZombie is a project run by and for the benefit of young creatives. Through our printed publication, website and regular events, talks and workshops we aim to represent the young voice in an industry too often dominated by the voices of those much older than ourselves. With this aim we keep a young group of creative minds working away behind the scenes to bring you the very best in fresh creativity.
