Introduction
Craig Barber, creator
of the hugely successful iPhone app Car Audio Deck has teamed up with
One Minute Briefs. We're reaching out to the OMB community to ask you to
turn that creative dial up to 11 for minute and bang out some really
big, loud and offensive ideas for this brief.
A little bit about the app
Car
Audio Deck is a music player app for the iPhone that has been designed
especially for in car use. Download the app to turn your iPhone into a
super slick car audio deck, complete with big LCD display, real deck
style buttons and a classic silver volume dial. Inspired by some of the
world’s best car stereo brands such as Alpine, Pioneer and JVC. It's the
perfect high quality accessory for your car’s interior. It’s big, it’s
bold and it bumps hard!
A unique feature of Car Audio Deck is that the
volume dial goes to 11, other music player apps max out at 10 and they
just can't compete with the sheer loudness of Car Audio Deck when it's
cranked all the way up to 11.
Single minded proposition:
The Car Audio Deck app is the loudest music player on the market today.
Proof:
The volume dial on the app goes to 11, most music player apps the volume only goes to 10.

Comic Sans for Cancer
Curated by Chris Flack, Renee Quigley & Jenny Theolin
We are using Comic Sans to take on cancer.
In its short history no other font has caused as much division as Comic Sans; not only does it divide opinions, but it is also a font that everyone seems to have a view on. So extreme are these views that websites have even been set up to have the font banned from use! We want to harness the energy and opinions that surround Comic Sans and show that it can have a positive effect on society. So why not put this divisive font to good use and use its 20th anniversary to raise money for cancer research.
Designers are being asked to represent what Comic Sans means to them. Do they love it or hate it? What would the world be like without the font we all love to hate? Should we wish it a happy birthday? The results will be showcased in a curated exhibition which aims to challenge the way we look at this divisive font.
