Campaign ObjectiveS:
Create a positive and engaging social media campaign that encourages businesses to support Creating Memories through:
Selecting the charity as their Charity of the Year
Providing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding
Sponsoring a part-time employee to support wish delivery
The campaign should inspire businesses to understand that their support directly creates joyful, lasting memories for children and adults with life-limiting or terminal illnesses, and their families.
Securing this kind of funding is incredibly challenging for charities, and many are struggling to get money in to cover core costs.
Our work involves much more than delivering wishes.
It includes:
Researching and planning experiences
Working with hospices and families
Connecting with communities
Building relationships with supporters
Raising awareness of the charity
Much of this work has historically been volunteer-led, and we are now seeking corporate partners and sponsors to help us expand our impact.
Target Audience
Business owners
Managing directors
Corporate social responsibility managers
HR teams responsible for charity partnerships
Local businesses across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Buckinghamshire
National businesses looking to support local causes
Tone and Style
Positive and uplifting
Focused on joy and hope
Sensitive but not sombre
Celebrating imagination, happiness, and magical moments
The emphasis should always be on creating joy and lasting memories, rather than focusing on illness.
About Creating Memories:
Based in Bedford, Creating Memories is a charity passionate about making the wishes of life limited and terminally ill local children and adults come true. Working across three counties we aim to create long lasting memories that are bespoke to each individual, helping to make their dreams a reality and bringing their imagination to life.
We were founded in 2018 - becoming a registered charity in 2020 - and we deliver our wishes through our strong working relationships with local hospices. We have created magical moments over fifty local families so far, but there are so many more that we want to help.
Our approach is always about sparking joy, and creating safe, long-lasting, treasured memories for the families that we serve.
However, we don’t just deliver wishes. Our work includes research, making connections, reaching out to local communities, planning, organising, tailoring, building relationships, and raising awareness about what we do. It is this vital and time-consuming work that allows us to create memories designed to be treasured forever, and much of this work has been volunteer based until very recently.
We are very keen to secure grants and support and are looking for funding partners and sponsors to help us to continue to do what we do best; deliver a moment of happiness to our families, make wishes come true and continue to grow our small but important charity. Securing enough funding to cover core costs is a big challenge that many charities currently face.
We value our corporate and community partnerships very highly. We know that their kindness is pivotal in making a small difference in the lives of the children we are honoured to get to know.
