One Minute Brief of the Day: Create billboard-style posters for ‘The Diana Award’ to tell parents that bullying is a huge issue in online gaming. Winners to be featured on #WorldGamingDay 22/10/23

Gaming is perceived by parents as fairly safe for their kids. But the (virtual) reality is that 57% of gamers have been bullied online. With over 3 billion gamers worldwide, this is a tragic statistic. Most parents are unaware that the live chat element of gaming is rife with discrimination and abuse such as racism, sexism and homophobia.

The Diana Award is a charity that supports young people and one of its main focuses is Anti-Bullying. 50,000 students and educators in 5,000 schools have been trained as Anti-Bullying Ambassadors thanks to this programme.

Now, in partnership with activist agency Revolt, the charity wants to get people talking about bullying in gaming.

About The Diana Award:

We’re proud to be the only charity set up in memory of the late Diana, Princess of Wales and her belief that young people have the power to change the world. Our mission is to empower young people to lead that change through a range of initiatives which unlock their potential, inspire action and create opportunities, ensuring that no young person is left out or left behind.

Our Current Campaign:

We recently launched a campaign called #BackToBullying, created by Revolt, including a stunt with a school uniform display in Westfield that stunned shoppers, and a back-to-school advert with a dark twist that got aired on BBC News.
