One Minute Brief WINNERS:
Anti-Gun Campaign

Often we try and keep the briefs fun but it is good to have some serious ones in the mix to keep it challenging. And you didn't let us down. There were some fantastic entries to this brief as you can see in the winners below.

@hellonaomi_ & @tobysyer with 'there's no respawn in real life' We live in an age where gaming is part of common knowledge and is more real than ever so this line works really well.

@wavey_gravy with 'Stick 'em up' Love the opposite of copy and image here.

@danniyelldesign with a similar idea about putting your hands up. Strong collaborative idea could be in this one.

@PWCFreelance with a great fact based ad. 'what more ammunition'? Brilliant thought.

@matthew__wyatt with 'children see, children do' Hard hitting image and line here.

@emmalydz with 'the only guns you should have possession of.' A more light-hearted approach but this could be a good initiative to get kids out of crime and into gyms etc and could be a big idea in this.

@lpbiesty with 'No Guns. No Excuses.' What an excellent line and campaignable thought.

@rebeccakidley with '2 lives ended' Superb line. Makes you think. That's the main thing here.

Thanks to all who entered.

One Minute Brief WINNERS:
Anti-Halloween Campaign

Brilliant response to this brief resulted in lots of fun ideas, clever ideas and some serious ones too. A great mix. All with merit in their own way.

We thought an anti-halloween brief would be more interesting than just halloween and were proved right with a great day for OMBS.

Lots of winners today due to a high level of quality and quantity of entries.

Winners:

@mr_al with this very simple child protection ad. Fantastic copy.

@hellonaomi_ with a good use of Jimmy Saville to create a thought provoking ad.

@joe_from_cp with 'stupid one minute briefs' Totally different approach as a bit of fun and made us laugh.

@NickCanDo with 'except' using a parody that goes against everything we've ever been taught. Very strong.

@PWCFreelance with 'make it go away' brilliant line alongside a knock knock joke style.

@stephenhunter21 with a hard hitting religious ad. 'renounce halloween' Funny yet also serious.

@dognbonesjones with 'RIP off' and '£8 billion' Can't help thinking these ads should be combined into one though!

@matthew__wyatt with 'treat yourself' love how it is actually a positive ad for a brand that says anti-halloween indirectly.

@chrismillar89 with 'Hallowean' This could be a huge campaign. Great idea and funny too.

@tonysimmons with 'fuck halloween' The silliest idea of the day but we like silly and it gets your attention!

@owenjevans with a bit of a down to earth self promotion style ad. Nice stuff.

Thanks to all who entered.

A topical brief today with some nice results. Above all, everyone is having fun with their ideas which is extremely important.

@skynewsman with 'big kids' Nice ad for the adult market ;)

@atAlexGoddard with 'the only time it's acceptable to have an orange face' Hilarious.

@chrisod1993 with a nice product benefit about decorating your house as well as your recipes.

The Haunt

Creative Account
October 28, 2013
A few months ago we were enjoying the Summer around our pool at McCann Manchester and discussing the grounds of Bonis Hall with fellow staff members.

We soon discovered that the old gatekeeper's house at the front of the drive was empty. It was then that lightbulbs started flashing above our heads. Just a few days prior to this discovery, McCann Manchester had been given a prize fund by McCann Worldgroup for winning McCann agency of the year, so what could we possibly do with the money?

Yes...you guessed it. Make a pub for us all. It was the obvious choice.

One thing about McCann Mcr being based in the country setting of Prestbury is that we can't just nip round the corner to the pub for a quick drink after work. So we thought...let's bring the pub to us! We think that social is very important to a good working environment and felt that this would be a great way to impact on this positively.

After pitching our idea, we were given permission the very next day to make it happen and it was no easy task but the facilities team and the gardeners did an amazing job in collaboration with us. 3 months later and we have a fully functional pub complete with Games Room, pool table, open wood burner and Chill Room. Why 'Chill' room? Well that's where we like to chill and play on the PlayStation. Oh..and it's where the ghost lives. Our pub is also haunted. Hence it's name 'The Haunt'.

Since opening on Friday the 13th September, we have used the pub for meetings, briefings, Fifa and pool tournaments and parties. Not bad for a place of work!

Very grateful to McCann for allowing us to make this happen as it is definitely one of our proudest achievements. One that we hope people can enjoy for years to come.

Below are a few pictures. Tweet us your thoughts :) @BOC_ATM

One Minute Brief WINNERS:
Advertise Extension Leads

One thing we think is important at OMB is that you should never pick and choose what briefs you work on as it is upto you to make a product/service interesting.

And this is what you did for the fantastic product that is an extension lead.
Some very clever ideas with fun and product benefit on display. A quick reminder...please put your Twitter names on your ads before you send them so we can credit you.

Great stuff. Here are the winners:

@lpbiesty with 'an extension to your home' nice big idea that could be very campaignable.

@Joe_From_CP 'Christmas wouldn't be the same without them' great line, visual and big idea.

@steveshanyaski with a dark image mated with a brilliant line 'power where you want it'.

@dognbonesjones with the fantastic line 'don't get caught short' with a really nice graphic style.

@millydacosta with the ad that resolves the standing on a plug pain. Great insight and very funny.

@thescampfactory with 'Unwind.' Could be a whole campaign to be made here. Love the double meaning.

Quality stuff. See you Monday.

One Minute Brief WINNERS:
Advertise Lube

Friday's Fun brief was Lube which resulted in a lot of entries coming in.

Lots of humour but also some clever/subtle ads too which we love.

Well done to all involved. Also, a quick note about entries that don't win. We value these ads just as much as the winners. It's very important to not be too precious with your ideas. Whether it's bad or good...it's only taken a minute. We feel ALL ideas should be shared as what you think is rubbish someone else could see something in and make it great.

Below are the winners:

@SUPERSUPERSUPER with the x-ray ad. Amazing visual.

@LarnerC with boat in a bottle. Lovely visual representation.

@billodavies with a cheeky visual of the tiny woman and huge man. No copy needed.

@dognbonesjones with 'voted #1' a clever yet hilarious ad.

@skynewsman with 'conquer new territories' epic thought and a very different way to advertise such a product.

@PWCFreelance with 'no time for foreplay' can be seen as a fun ad although I see it having a much deeper meaning.

@linda_naro with 'ouch to oooh' really nice line.

Please can you all try to remember to include your twitter names on your ads so we can see who has created what.

One Minute Brief WINNERS:
Advertise Hell

A nice positive brief today with a very positive response. Great number of entries. Lots of comedy in there for a not so serious brief.

The winners all reflect this humour with:

@owenjevans with 'Welcome to Hell' although it might piss off our account handler OMBLES haha.

@drdraper 'people kill to get in here' a quite familiar line but it works really well here.

@sheisapenguin with 'condemn Grandma to Hell' quite a frightening idea but it made us piss.

Cheers everyone.

One Minute Brief WINNERS:
Advertise Onesies

I'm a huge fan of my onesie. Those who hate on them are seriously missing out. Don't knock it til you've tried it.

A slow start that gained pace towards the end with lots of nice entries. A lot of them had a comedy feel to reflect the fun nature of the product which we liked.

The overall winner is below:

@dognbonesjones with 'like son, like father' lovely emotive line that makes you think of the product in a totally different way.

We also liked the celebrity endorsements on show today.

@BOC_ATM with One-Z. Wonder if he will start a new range?

@PWCFreelance with 'Gok Onesie' Hilarious.

Also on show today were some great ideas for an OMB Onesie range!

@wavey_gravy with a delightful fresh white onesie for Nick

Twitter has decided to start glitching so I can't find the other entrants. Please let us know who they are so we can credit them! Please put your Twitter name on all your entries so this problem cannot happen in future.

Thanks,
OMB.
