JAMIE LAING & MR WILSON’S BAND GIVE THE PUBLIC A MORNING BOOST

BRIEF:

Create a film to capture tired commuters being given a ‘Morning Boost’ by Original Source, Arielle Free and Mr Wilson’s Band.

THE IDEA:

We brought Smoking Gun’s concept to life with a video that transitions between a mundane morning at King’s Cross Station into a fast-paced energetic edit that encapsulated a ‘flash-mob’ style dance with branded shower themed DJ booth and dressing gowns.

Our job was to capture the reaction of the public as they broke out into random dance sequences set to music, delivered by DJ Arielle Free, alongside product giveaways. Not only that, we also documented Mr Wilson’s brass band walking through playing classic 90s hits.

Our crew worked in an agile way to be able to move swiftly and show the public joining in with their own dance moves.

BRIEF:

Create a film to capture Jamie Laing delivering a ‘Morning Boost’ to his wife Sophie Habboo.

THE IDEA:

We wrote, produced and directed this film for Smoking Gun’s concept of Jamie waking Sophie up with a brass band playing a classic 90s hit. We created some intrigue with him breaking the 4th wall and talking to camera about his cunning plan…before letting them in and surprising her with a morning boost courtesy of Original Source as they marched through the flat and did a lap of the bed. This was all in the aim of promoting a £10k holiday giveaway. Luckily, Sophie saw the funny side and joined Jamie to dance in the end.
