Very high number of entries today for something that we use in industry but we never give much thought to.

Some excellent ideas that will be being used in the near future in a project we are doing. Will keep you informed.

In no particular order, here are the winners...

@loumi_ads with a different way to use lorem ipsum. A very sweet/lazy way to describe how much you love someone. Funny and clever. Make it happen girls.

@sarahlong_xx with this copywriter recruitment ad. Clever stuff would make a nice campaign.

@skynewsman with 'He swears by it' nice line and use of it's background.

@meganlucy1989 with this tool for impressing your clients. Great humour and style.

Surprisingly slow response today considering the Design Council is such a big industry charity. But some great entries nonetheless.

The entry that hits the spot the most with us is @maxgordon94 with this simple effort using copy. A nice set that could be worked on to create a great campaign.

Well done Max and everyone else involved. Also get involved in the #kneehighproject it could be well worth your while. A great cause with great rewards.

For his VW Polo spoof. A cheeky one, but one that would definitely grab our attention.

This one got the product's USP in, using the click to refresh button - could be an interesting campaign if pursued further.

The Design Council champions great design. For us that means design which improves lives and makes things better.

As an enterprising charity, our work places design at the heart of creating value by stimulating innovation in business and public services, improving our built environment and tackling complex social issues such as ageing and obesity.

We inspire new design thinking, encourage public debate and inform government policy to improve everyday life and help meet tomorrow’s challenges today.

The Design Council have also invited us and our followers to take part in their latest project.

See below for details. Well worth getting involved in as successful applications could receive financial investment of up to £180,000 along with expert support and mentoring. Statement from Design Council below.

Today’s One Minute Brief aims to get you excited about a much bigger opportunity, the latest open innovation challenge from the Design Council, ‘the Knee High project’. Thanks so much for taking part.

If you enjoy todays One Minute Brief then maybe you would like to consider applying for the Knee High Design Challenge:

We are asking for radical new ideas that can make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of children living in Southwark and Lambeth. The briefs below address some interrelated themes so we will welcome ideas that fit across, between, or even outside of them. Use them to inspire your thinking. We remain completely open about what the end result will look like, e.g. new service, product, environment, or something else.


1. Leaving the house

Connect more families to people and places beyond the boundaries of their home.

2. Day-to-day play

Make it possible for more young children to learn and develop in their everyday lives.

3. A parent is a person

Alleviate the stress, anxiety, and depression experienced by parents during the ups and downs of everyday life.

To apply to the Knee High design challenge, clearly explain your idea on our online application form, by the 30th of September. After the first round, approximately 20 shortlisted entrants will gain support and funding to test ideas with local families. With the Premier League football season starting tomorrow we thought it would be a good idea to advertise Fantasy Football for the day.
