One Minute Brief of the Day:
Create posters to encourage the public to download the #WithALittleHelp track by @NHSVoices

Today is the launch of the #NHSVoices track to coincide with yesterday's #NHS70 birthday.

And we're hoping the OMBLES can spread the word as far as we can to encourage people to download.

We're looking for posters with positive messages based on the music track and video which you can see here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQS-V9MZtDA&feature=youtu.be&app=desktop

Remember to tweet your posters to @OneMinuteBriefs @NHSVoices @NHSMillion @LoveYourNHS with the hashtag #WithALittleHelp #NHSVoices #NHS70
Feel free to tag in any of the celebs you see in the music video too!!

Here are the links to download and include in your tweets too:

iTunes - https://buff.ly/2lHoUFX

Amazon - https://buff.ly/2lPd3FO

Google Play - https://buff.ly/2KPv41B

This is your chance to have your work shared within a huge campaign for a great cause.

About the campaign:

NHS STAFF WHO BEAT BIEBER ARE BACK WITH BAND AID NHS

Dr Katie Rogerson, 33, and fellow NHS worker Joe Blunden, 34, have joined NHS colleagues to create a Band Aid-style single to celebrate the 70th birthday of the NHS, and they hope to top the charts following the track’s release today. The brilliant music video to accompany the track was created by The Gate Films.

Against all the odds, they have pulled together an all-star cast for the song, including Seal, Beverley Knight, Guy Garvey, Alexandra Burke and UB40. Altogether, the line-up have close to 150 top ten hits between then, and more than 30 number ones. It also features the NHS Choir of doctors and nurses that got to top spot in 2015.

In addition, they have attracted legendary producer Timbaland, who is working with Grammy nominated Brit Jon Cohen to deliver what is sure to be a memorable rendition of the Beatles classic With A Little Help From My Friends. This special NHS version is also supported by Sir Paul McCartney, after the pair wrote him a heartfelt letter.

Dr Katie said of the feat: “Joe and I wanted to think of a way to include everyone who is touched by the NHS in a huge celebration. What better way than a Band Aid-style song and with a national singalong. This is our way to nod to the past seven decades of love, care and the best of British, standing hand in hand with 1.3 million fantastic staff to say ‘happy birthday NHS’.”

Joe added: “I work with NHS staff all over the country and see how hard they work to deliver care for patients. We want this track and singalong to show them just how appreciated they are, and we’re delighted that so many big stars have taken the time to contribute. We really hope everyone goes out and buys it today, and that we have a huge number one to celebrate our country’s greatest institution.”

All proceeds from the single will go to NHS Charities Together, a group of more than 100 NHS charities that provide invaluable funds to improve the experience of patients.

Let's do this and help get the NHS to Number 1...again!!!

As if all that is not enough, Katie, Joe and the NHS Choir will also feature in a prime-time ITV documentary. Shown tomorrow evening, the show will capture their journey to create the single, and feature a nationwide singalong of the song, which they hope will break a world record.

One Minute Brief of the Day:
Campaign to promote @CityToSeaBrist #Refill for #WorldOceansDay

Today is #WorldOceansDay and we’re teaming up with our plastic pollution fighting friends City to Sea to help spread the word about their Refill campaign!

Prize:
£200 plus a beautiful Refill x Chilly’s bottle!

Brief:

Create posters to promote #Refill! Tweet them to @oneminutebriefs and @citytoseabrist with the hashtags #Refill #WorldOceansDay

About:

Today (8th June) is World Oceans Day which is all about celebrating our seas. Plastic pollution is one of the biggest threats to our oceans and environmental campaign group City to Sea are helping find solutions to this crisis.

Refill is all about connecting people to taps and fountains, wherever they are, so they can refill their water bottle for free and stop plastic pollution from single-use water bottles at source. It’s fun, easy, saves money, saves oceans!

We have a free app which connects you to your nearest free refill, and there are now over 10,000 refill stations across the UK!

Refill just won gold for 'Best Behaviour Change' in the Global Good Awards and we want to spread the world that you don’t need to buy expensive bottled water … you can top up from the tap wherever you are!

Fewer than half of the bottles bought in 2016 were collected for recycling and just 7% of those collected were turned into new bottles. Instead most plastic bottles produced end up in landfill or in the ocean. Here in the UK around 16 million bottles a DAY don’t get recycled.

Think taps! Think stopping the insanity of buying water that costs you and costs the oceans! Be bold, be silly, have fun! x

About Chasing the Stigma and the Hub of Hope:

Chasing the Stigma is a national mental health charity (charity number 1170757) set up by Liverpool born stand-up comedian and writer, Jake Mills, following his own battle with depression and suicide attempt almost 5 years ago.

The charity aims to normalise and humanise mental health, after all, there is nothing more normal than something we all have.

Everybody in the world has mental health. Yet the fear of being judged is preventing many people from talking about it. Chasing the Stigma want to help remove that fear and unnecessary stigma, by using first-hand experiences to say ‘I have suffered. I got through it and you can too’. You are never alone.

Chasing the Stigma created the Hub of Hope, a first of its kind, national mental health database which brings together organisations and charities, large and small, who offer mental health advice and support, together in one place.

The Hub of Hope, which is free downloadable app, as well as being online at hubofhope.co.uk uses your devices location to find mental health support near you, wherever you are in the country – think of it as the Just Eat of the mental health world.

It is a first of its kind database, making help as easy as possible to find and reaffirming the message, ‘you are never alone’.

About the problem:

Universities have a suicide problem, researchers have said, as a study shows that the number of students taking their own lives has overtaken the general population for the first time.

Research by independent researchers found that the suicide rate among UK students had risen by 56 per cent in the 10 years between 2007 and 2016, from from 6.6 to 10.3 per 100,000 people.

The student suicide rate in 2016 was 9 per cent higher than in 2015 and 25 per cent higher than 2012, when it was 8.3.

ONS figures show that the average suicide rate among the general population of 15-19 year olds was 5.9, while the rate for 20-24 year-olds was 10.4.

"This is the first time we can conclusively say that as far as suicide is concerned, there is a real problem in higher education.”

Sir Anthony Seldon, vice-chancellor of the University of Buckingham and a campaigner on student well-being, told the BBC: "Student suicide rates and emotional distress levels could be reduced at university if we acted differently.

"More support in transitions, better tutoring and early warning, more peer to peer support, an enhanced sense of belonging, would all enhance wellbeing and reduce risk.

"We are obsessed by reactive policy once students hit the bottom of the waterfall; we need to be putting preventative policies in place to prevent them ever tipping over the edge."

Good luck with today's brief and we hope you can help us spread a very important message across the world with today's brief. Thank you.

One Minute Brief of the Day:
Advertise @VitaminTalent with the line “Don’t Hire A Robot”

Today we've got a great brief and prize with our friends at Vitamin T in London. We're looking for some fun ideas that are based around the idea of not hiring a robot, but being able to get a close match and fit with your agency that matches your company's ethos and personality. Looking forward to what the OMBLES come up with for this!!

Prizes:
● £100 in amazon vouchers to the winner and some Vitamin T robots too!!

About
Vitamin T is a global recruitment agency. We are a division of Aquent, created to exclusively meet the unique needs of creative agencies, start-ups and mid-sized companies. We are specialists in marketing, creative and digital roles, placing both freelance and permanent staff. We go above and beyond to ensure a perfect match by making human connections with both talent and clients. We offer thorough assessments with our ‘Independent Assessments’ for specialist disciplines, meaning we can match our talent much more accurately so you can guarantee you won’t be hiring a robot.

We’re definitely not your typical recruitment agency, we truly believe in creativity and go out of our way to support both clients and talent through our speaker events, our free Gymnasium courses, or rewarding creatives through our Talent Awards.

Why don’t we want to hire robots?
A robot is programmed to do a task, but nothing outside that. It can’t use it’s brain to solve problems or do any of the other things humans are great at (communication, team work, personal relationships, empathy, curiosity, creativity). Which is why we believe it’s important to match more than just skills when hiring for a role.

Ad Goals
● We often use robots in our advertising, this is an opportunity to explore the theme of human interaction vs robots.
● We want an advert that stands out in a competitive market
● Feature our Vitamin T branding

Tone
● We are looking for something fun or quirky
● Robot can be any style, we have used retro, cartoon, chocolate, Lego and paper robots previously
● Targeting UK audience

One Minute Brief of the Day:
Campaign to promote a healthy work/life balance with the #Thrive event brought to you by @MPAweareyou

Today we have a great brief and prizes with our friends at the MPA. We are excited to see lots of ideas shared on an important subject as well as spread the word about this great event! Tweet your posters to @OneMinuteBriefs and @MPAweareyou for the chance to win!

Prizes:
1 x free ticket to the event for you or a friend.
1 x free entry into the MPA Awards

The brief in a nutshell:Help people working in the creative industries to achieve a happier work/life balance, for themselves or their colleagues, by getting them along to Thrive – a ‘positivity and wellbeing’ event, hosted by the MPA in Manchester on 16th May at The Principal Hotel featuring a global line up of world class speakers and contributors.

Manchester Evening News extract…
People ask ‘How are you doing?’ Our default response to this is invariably, ‘I’m good, thanks…how are you?’….whereby we quickly deflect the question back. Just habit? Too often I suspect it’s because we aren’t feeling great but feel vulnerable revealing the truth; worried that it will be seen as an admission of frailty that will be used against us. I’ll leave it to others to comment on the ethics, but from a commercial point of view, this is equally tragic. You don’t need to read The Social Market Foundation study. It’s obvious; people are more productive when they are happy. 12% more apparently. Feeling like you should bottle up worries (personal or work) when you get to the office seems archaic to me but I’m becoming increasingly aware that it is an issue in the creative, media and digital sector as much as every other.

Today we've got a great brief with our Manchester neighbours, Become.

Tweet your entries mentioning @OneMinuteBriefs and @Become_MCR and remember to put your Twitter handle in the corner of your ads.

Prize: £150 Amazon vouchers for the winner.

Key messaging
Help us to grant more life-changing wishes this World Wish Day by sponsoring a wish.

About World Wish Day
April 29 is World Wish Day®, the anniversary of the wish that inspired the founding of
Make-A-Wish and the wish-granting movement. It is a worldwide awareness day of gratitude to thank donors, volunteers, medical professionals, sponsors, wish children and families.
It is a day where we can highlight all the unique and wonderful wishes we grant – from having a pirate party on a real ship to becoming a teacher for the day, children have the most imaginative wishes.
We’re asking people to get involved and help us to grant even more life-changing wishes to seriously ill children this World Wish Day by sponsoring a wish.

About Make-A-Wish UK
Make-A-Wish UK is a children’s wishgranting charity which grants life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.
In 1980, 7-year-old Chris Greicius inspired the creation of Make-A-Wish. Chris was diagnosed with leukaemia and wished to be a Policeman. Thanks to his mother, her friends and a group of police officers – his wish was made a life-changing reality.
In 1986, Make-A-Wish was founded in the UK – 31 years later we’ve helped transform the lives of more than 12,000 seriously ill children by granting their One True Wish.
Whether it's being a superhero for a day, to operating a lift by pressing buttons all day long or meeting their celebrity hero; our wishes are varied, personal and life-changing. We go above and beyond to grant amazing wishes to very amazing children; their One True Wish made a reality at a time when they need it most.
Because a child's life shouldn't be about illness, hospitals and diagnosis - it should be about wonder, joy and hope.

One Minute Brief of the Day:
Advertise #HeadUpNorth with @TweetsByTrunk at #PNLive

Today we are heading to Prolific North Live where you will find us at the Trunk stand 69!
We've got an exciting theme and a game to go with it called #HeadUpNorth.

It's as simple as heading a ball north as far as you can with some obstacles along the way!!

You can play the game here.
http://headupnorth.trunk.agency/

We're looking for posters to advertise the game and the winner will receive a bottle of fizz for their man/woman of the match performance.

Tweet your ads to @OneMinuteBriefs @TweetsByTrunk @ProlificNorth with hashtag #PNLive

About Trunk at the Event:

Trunk are heading to Prolific North Live: an event which has been labelled the biggest annual marketing expo outside of London. The event is taking place across two days, the 28th of February and 1st of March, at EventCity in Manchester.

For their second year at the event, Trunk are theming their stand around the bold claim that they are “The Best Team in Manchester”. Manchester is home to two teams already, big rivals City and United, but Trunk are providing a third option, stating that red and blue together makes… purple!

From the AstroTurf on the floor, to the crowd of people on the wall, the Trunk stand will be football-themed to emphasise the talents of their 11-strong team. Some of the Trunk team will be at their stand to talk to people about how they can help other agencies win over their own crowds. They’ll be wearing Trunk’s very own football shirts, so you’ll be able to spot them easily!

Trunk have created a game especially for the event and have aptly named it ‘Head Up North’; the game will be released on the first day of the event and is available to play on their stand and online. Players will be able to control a floating head with their finger with the aim to do as many headers as possible to get higher and higher. The game encapsulates both the nature and location of the Prolific North event, as well as highlighting how people should head up north in order to find Trunk and their work! Those with the highest scores will be in with the chance of winning the ‘Player of the Event’ title and a bottle of champers.

In addition, Dan Magness, a world-record football freestyler, will become an honorary member of the Trunk squad for a day as he’ll be at their stand showcasing his skills! For the brave few out there, you’ll be able to challenge Dan at keepie-uppies, so get some practise in before the event!

As well as filming some of the event, Trunk will be showing a highlights reel of their work. This themed show-reel features everything from viral videos and TV ads to games and interactives. Trunk will also be releasing football-style tickets for their stand before the event; these will be released via email on so keep an eye on those inboxes!

Check out Trunk on social for all the pre-match talk (@TweetsByTrunk) and don’t forget to head to stand 69 to see the action - kick off 9:30am!
