About:

To kick 2023 off, we witnessed our first of many briefs with WWF around the end of the year of the tiger. WWF UK wanted us to take to Twitter in order to spread much needed awareness around how, even though the year of the tiger may be coming to an end, we should never forget just how much they still need our unconditional support at every other given time of the year.

This brief saw not just millions of impressions, but also the winner’s entry developed into a fierce, fully developed billboard that featured during February across London, Manchester and Liverpool for all to see thanks to our own media company partnerships.

Moving onto March, and having been in the pipeline months in advance, our annual WWF #WorldWithoutNature campaign was unleashed on #WorldWildlifeDay and made its powerful mark across Twitter for the 3rd year in a row.

With brands from Unilever, Duolingo, Gymshark, Brewdog and so many more removing their logos to stand in solidarity with WWF on the day itself, we saw people from all over social media interacting with their favourites, wondering what was going on and why the nature from their favourite brand logos had disappeared.

Not only that, but we also saw sport clubs from all over the world join in too, such as Wolves, Swansea City, West Brom, Brentford, Aston Villa and SO many more. UK clubs were also happy to take it one step further, offering real-world content to their fans at their stadiums through screens and programs, creating a UK-wide explosion of awareness, both online and offline. Impressions for the campaign are now at over a BILLION and the campaign has gained worldwide recognition, including news features across many different advertising news sources such as the Independent, Sky Sports and SPORF. We can’t wait to go even bigger and better next year!

At first there was darkness, then Nick said “let there be One Minute Briefs!” Well, sort of…

10 years later, it’s unbelievable to think that the very platform we use to see all the iconic tweets featuring responses to all our briefs would eventually come around to celebrate this very anniversary!

The brief inspired millions upon millions (yep, not a typo) of impressions, and made for an incredible day where OMBLES old and new from all over Twitter came to share their love for all things One Minute Briefs. It would be biased to say that this is definitely one of our favourite briefs, but we don’t care as it celebrated all things OMBLE!

The best thing about this? The future of OMB just keeps getting bigger and better, and we definitely look forward to the next time we get to celebrate 20 years of OMB across and with Twitter once more.

Client: Movember UK

About:

To celebrate not only one of the most recognisable events of the year but also an incredibly huge fundraiser across the world, Movember wanted to join us for a huge MO-vement to get OMBLES to encourage people to sign up and raise funds for Movember UK by growing a moustache for the month of Movember to raise awareness around different topical issues around men’s health (yes that’s right, we no longer recognise it as November).

Across the day, entries featuring moustaches ranging from thick to thin, bushy to trimmed, long to short and everything in between were being posted in support of the day and, most importantly, got people talking all about their own health issues from mental health, suicide amongst men and cancer.

Hundreds of entries throughout the day generated huge reach and led to an overall extremely viral campaign that amplified the existing hashtag. We hope that next Novem… sorry, Movember, we can do something just as big once more.

Client: Auto Windscreens

About:

It was clear to see that Auto Windscreens were looking promote towards 18–25-year-olds for their Automotive Glazing Apprenticeship scheme, so when they reached out to us to help advertise this open window opportunity we made sure to give them the ultimate One Minute Brief experience.

Our OMBLES took to Twitter and smashed the brief with masses of clear, impactful and effective ideas that would entice young people to join in with the scheme in a fun, relatable and engaging manner.

150+ entries were received with many of them award-winning in their own right and are now pride-of-place in the offices of Auto Windscreens. You can see some of them in the shortlist below.

Client: Cineworld

About:

To celebrate cinema in all its big screen glory, Cineworld were happy to get involved with us on National Cinema Day back and provide a bundle of fun cinema-ticket prizes for a day of memes with the simple task of changing one letter in a film title to completely change the movie’s direction completely.

Iconic films that we know and love, changed from Jaws to Paws, Nope to Pope, The Mummy to The Dummy and Rocky to… Ricky? The campaign gained hundreds of likes and retweets, even ending up trending at some points throughout the day and producing millions in impressions and engagement.

It was certainly a picture to behold that day with over 200 unique entries. Now, that’s what we call an Oscar -worthy performance.

Client: Beauty Pie

About:

Getting in with a slice of the One Minute Brief action, Beauty Pie wanted our equally beautiful OMBLES to bring to life how they are the place to access the best products at a fraction of the price of bigger brands.

Throughout the day, the OMBLES were able to give Beauty Pie the ultimate glow up by creating entries that really were disruptive, simple, clever, impactful and distinctly Beauty Pie. Showing that they weren’t just here for cheap thrills, but here to make waves in the beauty industry as a whole, one entry at a time.

180+ entries were received that day, achieving millions of impression, sticking a perfectly nail-varnished middle finger up to high priced make-up. We look forward to seeing Beauty Pie join us back in the future, perhaps to highlight more of their wonderful missions to disrupt the industry.

Client: Gymshark

About:

Gymshark asked for an ad…to promote their Black Friday sale. And, the OMBLES gave them hundreds

They called on the OMBLES to create unconventional posters/ads to show deals up to 60% off that even Jaws couldn’t fit his mouth around.

It was our mission to create ads that were disruptive & they wanted to “do things differently.” So, in true OMB fashion, we gave entrants the license to go as creative as they wanted, whilst also sticking to the brand tone. This resulted in some incredibly vibrant, colourful and, sometimes hilarious, copy and designs.

The day saw over 350 entries, each consisting of top-quality creative ideas, with Gymshark showing love to each one. Particularly those shortlisted below.

Client: Sky UK

About:

The sky was the limit back in July when Sky UK joined us for a once-in-a-lifetime brief for their all new smart TV Sky Glass TV. OMBLES were tasked to bring to life Sky Glass as “The Smartest of all Smart TVs”, and it was plain to see that the TV wasn’t the only   brain box around, as entrants created many picture-perfect submissions.

The brief boasted prizes that were worth around £4500, including a chance to win their very own 55” Sky Glass TV with 12 month subscription of Sky Ultimate TV, so it was safe to say that a sky-high number of over 400 entries was always expected. Impressions and engagements however exceeded expectations beyond belief, with millions of different people engaged, even creating over 1000 new followers for One Minute Briefs Twitter account ALONE in one day!

Client: Grenade

About:

A real creative bang went off during our two explosive briefs with Grenade back in April and May 2022, big enough to let the whole of the UK know the strength of Grenade’s protein-packed bars.

In April during a very timely 1st of the month, it was decided that Grenade and Tiny Rebel wanted to let off a cheeky surprise to advertise their ‘all new’ but not so real-life protein bar…? Fair to say that even our regular OMBLES really did fall for this prank, leading the whey in some entries that really did raise the bar up until 12pm when we decided to hit them with the bombshell… APRIL FOOLS!

Even after that, hundreds more entries came flying in as the one thing that was certainly real on that day was the huge prizes up for grabs. Attaching ourselves to the existing hashtag meant that Grenade were the prominent brand across social media on April Fool’s Day… all day long.

Fast forward to May, and Grenade came back to us to squeeze out more of the OMBLES’ creative juices for their all new, and this time very real, lemon cheesecake-flavoured protein bar.

Without any creative restrictions, we saw some simply the zest entries from the hundreds of people who wanted to pull the creative pin on Grenade’s brief. We found Grenade enjoying all the entries so much that they were retweeting nearly every single one and found some tweets reaching tens of thousands of impressions alone, which cumulated to an overall reach of over ten million.

It would be a blast to have Grenade join us back once more for another brief soon, maybe even for another cheeky attempt at fooling the OMBLES and general public once more on April Fools Day…

Client: AO

About:

It was all AO-k in May when AO wanted the OMBLES to show people that if there was ever a place to go for electronics, look no further than AO.com.

We made sure that the brief was plugged and wired with all the right info to make sure that OMBLES were able to produce everything to AO’s specifications, and saw exactly that through 300+ high-quality designs which gained mass attention across social media thanks to eye-catching graphics and copy, with some OMBLES entering multiple submissions.

17.48 million impressions were made that day across social media, with people from as far as America, India, Switzerland and further afield entering! Looking forward to connect with AO once more in the future for another huge brief.

Client: On The Beach

About:

On The Beach UK decided to take a flight to the tropical isles of One Minute Briefs in May 2022 to echo their TV ad messaging and bring to life what the most wonderful time of the year REALLY is.

The day itself saw mentions coming in at jet speed, with mile-high amounts of entries being produced to create impressions in their millions as our followers engaged in a friendly competition to try and win prizes worth over £1000!

It was also great to see On The Beach interacting and showing their love for each entry throughout the day too. We look forward to booking them in for another collab brief soon!

About:

Eatlean entrusted in us to make moo-ves in getting our OMBLES to create posters showing how natural their cheese is without any hidden nasties.

With everyone returning to one of the first briefs of the year, it was udderly grate to see that the OMBLES had not lost their touch over the Christmas break, producing some fun, creative designs, sketches, GIFs and more. With lots of deliberately cheesy ideas being shared, the entries were gaining millions of impressions and were engaged with heavily outside of Twitter on our other platforms on FB, Insta and Linkedin.

Eatlean were extremely pleased with the day and it exceeded expectations. It would brie grate to see them join us again for another brief soon.

Client: Vapiano

About:

We went Underground, Overground OMBling free back in February when Vapiano wanted to bring on the OMBLES to spread the word in instinctive creative ways about the launch of their new Paddington restaurant.

Each entry boasted thousands of engagements and resulted in a bellissimo total of 28 million impressions thanks to over 250 entries being submitted. The brief even went pasta UK shores and reached countries as far as Canada, India, America, Finland and more.

It would be great to see Vapiano come back for another pizza the action soon.

Client: Biotiful

About:

It was a pleasure to have Biotiful Kefir join us for two incredibly diverse briefs all about helping us go for a number 2… quite poetic really.

Biotiful Kefir provided us with a brief to take care of our gut health and to show the importance of how a healthy gut equals a Biotiful you.

The brief saw impressions in their millions, and produce more than 150+ entries, which led on to the brand wanting to produce a second brief with us in the same month.

The second brief was gutsy by name and gutsy by nature! Biotiful Kefir came back for more and, this time, wanted the OMBLES to bring to life their Kefir products in a heroic style to show how they can be the start to your gutsy day ahead. Without any hesitation, OMBLES went above and beyond for the opportunity to win some amazing cash prizes. You can see some of the shortlisted entrants below.

We kicked off January with many exciting briefs, but we we had a huge stand out collab with FitFlop, They wanted to try our OMBLES on for size to bring to life their brand and products to coincide with their Spring/Summer launch.

The brief turned out to be the perfect fit for everyone who entered, creating some sole-ful copy that met FitFlop’s tone perfectly. 383 submissions saw one of our highest entered briefs yet with matching engagement numbers in their tens of millions through retweets, likes and more.

It was a brief that exceeded expectations and then some, so we look forward to putting our best foot forward with FitFlop again soon.

Client: Neat Burger

About:

We flew all the way to the big apple for this brief - well, sort of - where Neat Burger unleashed the collective power of the OMBLES to match the scale of their next big venture. Our community got creative to advertise the opening of their new plant-based fast-food location in, none other than, New York City.

The entries that were received did not fail to impress either, standing tall and scaling the heights of millions of impressions across all socials.

Neat Burger were interacting with all day with the submissions. The community really respond to this engagement and mentions were through the roof. Neat.

About:

It was lovely to raise a glass to a brief with Jameson Whiskey around Valentines Day to get people across social media to together to show their passion for Jameson! The result showed that love was truly in the air, as cupid arrows flew around not just our feed but also across the entirety of Twitter too, getting millions upon millions of impressions globally.

With all the creativity circling around too, it was obvious to see the effect our OMB ads had on Valentine’s Day too with entries going viral and the public sharing photos of themselves buying a bottle for their loved ones.

About:

Around Valentine’s Day, we had a fun little date with Papa Johns to celebrate everyone’s different tastebuds being bought together through the unity of pizza. Even if you’re a lover of pineapple on pizza, half and half is sure to keep you and your significant other together forever!

This brief saw OMBLES from everywhere looking to get a slice of the action, entering all sorts of different saucy and cheesy (but cute) entries, enough to get Papa John’s and One Minute Briefs trending across social media AND our mouths to water over the hundreds of mouth-watering entries, gaining impressions that had people interacting in all sorts of ways left, right and centre.

About:

Mecca Bingo really got a full house back in April when they wanted us to get OMBLES to help celebrate their all-new brand partnership for the upcoming 2022 series with Britain’s Got Talent, UK’s largest TV show with audiences of over 10 million. So, it was obvious that this was going to create huge numbers of impressions across social media.

From fun bingo nicknames to nostalgic flashback puns, to previous BGT acts, it was hard for Mecca not to press the golden buzzer on each one as we would have had a shortlist of over 100!

We saw Mecca interacting with each entry, loving the ideas for each one. This led to impressions in the millions and #MeccaBGT trending across Twitter.

About:

Two of the best remedies to those mid-weekday morning blues collided back in March 2022, one Pret coffee and a One Minute Brief. Pret wanted us to gather the creative energy of the OMBLES to filter through their best ideas to show people the ultimate benefits of subscribing to a Pret Coffee subscription, and least to say the results were excel-latte.

With no boundaries set for design, hundreds of OMBLES decided to take to the challenge, using everything from a Pret cup, a wooden stirrer to even a coffee stain, no drop was left untouched.

It was to our and Pret’s delight to find a certain hashtag for #PretCoffeeSubscription trending in the UK with just how much engagement there was from the likes, retweets and high-quality ideas being shared in their hundreds. We’ll drink to that!
